I was a fairly competitive wrestler from a young age through High School and ran a little cross-country track. I started mountain biking during my college years and stayed active with biking, running, and an adventure obstacle course race for about a year after engineering school. I eventually became inactive, gained some weight and lost my fitness over the next 8 to 10 years as I settled into family life and career.
About 7 years ago, I started getting back in shape and lost the weight I had gained in the previous years. I started learning how to balance exercise, an active lifestyle and overall healthier living into everyday life with family and career.
I now do quite a bit of mountain bike racing, including multiple 100 mile mountain bike races each year, a little bit of trail running and even got back into another adventure triathlon earlier this year. Each year, I find new races and challenges to take on and continue testing myself.
Fitness has become a huge passion of mine and just a way of life, which led me to switch paths into a fitness career a couple years ago. I’ve always enjoyed mentoring, coaching and teaching, so Personal Training has given me an opportunity to combine my passion for fitness with my passion for working with and coaching people.
